Hey could you cue me in on how you leave a guy like Connor ROss off this list of players when he was #2 in scoring 24.2 ppg, 1st in steals and assists, alone wth over 6 boards agame. All from the point guard position. This kid handled the ball aginst every thinkable double and triple team. Connor scored 35 against Texhoma, 40 against DCLA, over 30 points in 5 games and not a mention. I’d mtch his stats with any body on tis list. Tell me what more he dids to do. He is deservng of this award. What’s the guidelines.

Numbers are only a small part of it. How successful were the teams they played on, did they have good attitudes, etc. A lot of things go into it, its not a perfect system, but it works pretty good.

Totally agree with you Bob. Its not a perfect system and the coaches do a good job of doing it. Perhaps, they can change the name to the OCA Senior All State team. Thats not going to happen, but thats not going to happen.
I imagine a Douglass player or two can easily be on the “true” All State team, but since they are underclassmen thats not going to happen. Again, I understand.

If you were a coach, you would know that the All State teams are comprised of seniors only. Ask his coach why he didn’t make all state and I’m sure he’ll know what the guidelines are and tell you that this player is probably an underclassman. If you don’t know, now you know!
